I mean we’ve been stuck not being able to handle the Myr situation for how long now? Over a year, if I recall correctly.Īnd yet we have panties that can change colors, hardlight toys, magical package-concealing strips of material, and a bunch more stuff. A shift in priority from adding little bits of nothing first and foremost to adding core features and content first and foremost is what I’d really like to see and what I’d really get excited over. Yet I see more and more little bits and pieces added all the time while the core content seems to be on the way-way back burner which isn’t even turned on, or so it seems.įrankly I want to see greater strides taken in the core of the game and fewer strides taken in custom NPCs, transformatives, and other minutia until that point. It was a big draw of the game in the beginning, with an included offbeatr goal for a capital vessel type ship, so it’s always been one of the core features. No one is mad enough to say no to space nuns.Īgain, thanks for not smiting me and all. As a creative, I worry about characters becoming mouth pieces rather than believable entities, so I wanted to point this out. Some religious ideas are completely at odds on the philosophical spectrum, so combining them under the single word shows a dismissive authorial attitude that may bleed through aspects of the game across characters. Then there’s the fact that Christianity != All Religion. Not to say that Azra would be religious, just that the religious idea she would be moving from would be a little more sophisticated than what we’ve got. I would expect future sentient creatures to be just as tenacious. That doesn’t mean that all of the core tenets hold up, just that those who have chosen to follow it are great at adapting new findings to fit old ideas. There’s quite a robust history of its early thinkers tackling issues that we think we’re just bringing up today, that and contributing to what we know as scientific method. Christianity survived because its ideas are not as simple as the five second youtube creationist take-downs would have viewers believe. Religion has survived because humans are great at adapting core identity beliefs to fit new information.
